New Year, New Social Networking Tools

Chicago, IL– Valerie F. Leonard, a local expert in community and organizational development, today unveiled a new website and pages for Twitter and Facebook.  “I have had a website, Twitter and Facebook pages for years, but my website was text-heavy, and not very interactive”, Ms. Leonard said.  Leonard’s “aha” moment came when she had been trying unsuccessfully for weeks to update her old website using Front Page extensions.  Front Page has been discontinued by Microsoft.  Although Leonard’s webhost still supports the platform, Microsoft no longer provides patches to address publishing issues.  As an independent consultant, Leonard said she found herself spending more time trying to publish her website than marketing to clients.  “I couldn’t afford to let my website go without upgrading”. More


Valerie F. Leonard Named to Racial and Ethnic Impact Research Task Force

Valerie F. Leonard has been selected to serve on the Racial and Ethnic Impact Research Task Force. The Racial and Ethnic Impact (REI) Research Task Force Act was co-sponsored by Senator Mattie Hunter (D-Chicago) and Representative La Shawn K. Ford (D-Chicago) and signed into law on August 16, 2011, by Illinois Governor Pat Quinn after unanimous passage in the State General Assembly (SB 2271 / PA 97-0433). More
